We believe our success has been a result of offering quality dance training in a warm but professional environment. In our endeavor to provide quality dance instruction, our staff continues to study and update themselves in the ever-changing field of dance. We offer a diversity of dance classes, accepting dancers from 3 years old to the young at heart. We offer our students a unique opportunity by giving them a choice in deciding their future in the dance area. Our program is divided into two areas, recreational dance classes in all disciplines; ballet, jazz and tap. But for those students who may be looking to pursue dance professionally or to enhance their dance skills for school activities such as majorette or dance team members, we offer a program of intense dance in all disciplines.

We have the largest Ballroom dance facility in the Birmingham Area. Our state of the art sound system and floor make learning a pleasure.

ASFA dance students learn the techniques of dance along with an appreciation of its emotional power. Our dance curriculum consists of rigorous daily classes with a heavy classical emphasis, plus courses in music appreciation, class piano, dance history, and exposure to related modern and jazz styles. Our goal: through practice and performance, to develop experienced world-class dancers of noteworthy style and presence.

The Alabama Ballet School's mission is to provide artistic dance training that is also developmentally and physically appropriate for students ages four through adult in a positive learning environment. Now in its sixth year, the Alabama Ballet School is pleased that its students continue to demonstrate our success by being accepted at nationally competitive summer programs. This level of excellence is seen not only as our students share their talent with other programs but in our classrooms and on our stage. We are delighted to welcome you to our family.
